The name Chianti to indicate a wine produced in Tuscany is recorded since the 13th Century. In 1716 Cosimo III de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany, issued an edict defining the borders of the Chianti production area, located between the cities of Florence and Siena. Today we still refer to the Chianti region based on the definition given by a 1932 law that extended the Chianti area to include territories around Arezzo, Pisa and Pistoia.

- Drink and food delights - We will arrange a wine tasting session in a winery, so that you will learn firsthand the flavor of this great wine with also a visit to the production facilities and the old cellars. Later you can stop in one of the best trattoria of the region to enjoy an excellent lunch
- Shopping opportunities – There will be opportunities to buy all the typical products of the region: extra virgin olive oil, cured meats (like prosciutto, soppressata, finocchiona, sbriciolona) and of course wine and other spirits made from the Chianti grapes
The tour will start with a private limo picking you up at the hotel. We suggest to start the day at 9.00 am, but since this is your private tour, it is up to you to define which time suits you better. At the end of the tour, the driver will take you back to the hotel.
