Itinerary 

Florence is home of many important works by Michelangelo. This walking tour will make you discover some of the most beautiful  sculptures, paintings, drawings and architectures made by this master of the Renaissance.  The itinerary will include:

• Accademia Gallery , where you will see the marble statue of David made by Michelangelo between 1501 and 1504. Other incredibile masterpieces are his unfinished works, like the Slaves . Reservation will be made in advance in order to avoid the long line 

• San Lorenzo:  the square with the picturesque market, and the church designed by Michelangelo.

• The Medici Chapels, part of the complex of San Lorenzo church. Here you will see the sculptures that Michelangelo made to adorn the tombs of the Medici family: Day , Night , Sun And Dawn.

• Museo Opera del Duomo : in the museum you will see the Pieta and Michelangelo’s self portrait made in Rome in 1550

• Lunch break

• Bargello Museum with three other Michelangelo’s masterpieces: Bacco, Tondo Pitti and Brutus 

• Casa Buonnaroti where are conserved beautiful drawings, youth works and different portraits of the artist. Here you will also see the model of the San Lorenzo church

• Santa croce, the square and the church where Michelangelo is buried together with many other important artists

Please note that the Tondo Doni painting is conserved in the Uffizi Gallery: we suggest the Uffizi Gallery half-day tour, so you will have the time to appreciate also all the other treasures hosted in this beautiful museum.
